LuftTV Unveiled In Abuja: Bright Echefu, founder of Telecom Satellites Limited (TSTV), has announced the launch of LUFT TV, a new pay TV service, years after his initial venture, TSTV, failed.
Speaking during the unveiling on Sunday in Abuja, Echefu promised that the initiative will provide the best entertainment services in Nigeria and across Africa. He highlighted that through its design, LUFT TV was built to guarantee subscribers’ comfort.
“LUFT TV is built on cutting-edge technology, delivering crystal-clear HD quality, flexibility to watch on multiple devices, and a subscription plan that is currently the most affordable compared to other existing pay TVs. Our entertainment on LUFT TV is on your own terms, anytime, anywhere,” he said.
He added that its satellites already have a footprint across West Africa, noting that all West Africans can connect to the service.
Echefu also spoke about TSTV, which has remained off the radar severally, saying it is not dead. He hinted that TSTV subscribers would soon be onboarded onto LUFT TV.
“Some time ago, we had TSTV. TSTV is going to come back. It’s not dead, no. I just want to announce that TSTV is not dead. And soon, very, very soon, subscribers of TSTV will be on LUTF TV. So, we haven’t lost anything,” he said.
On the new Pay TV, he assured it is committed to supporting local content and values and showcasing Nigeria’s stories—from captivating dramas and unforgettable music to thrilling sports moments, among others.
According to him, LUTF Pay TV is more than a service but a movement to bring people together, to inspire, to entertain, and to deliver the kind of TV that speaks to who they are.

Governors from different states commended his commitment and urged citizens to try out the new PayTV.
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and his Plateau State counterpart, Caleb Mutfwang, have stated that pay-as-you-go satellite television service is now possible in Nigeria, urging citizens to patronize Luft Tv which made its debut on Sunday.
They both spoke at the grand unveiling and launch of LuftPay Tv, a Nigerian pay TV company, in Abuja.
Governor Sule said: “I strongly believe that Luft Tv has come at a time that Nigeria misses the most. My understanding of pay tv is actually similar to the story of MTN and Globacom here in this country.
“When MTN started, they would say that there was no per second billing. But in our own case, the moment Globalcom came, they started with per second billing.
“And today, my understanding of pay tv is a situation where you pay only what you want. So, in a day, I can select that I watch tv only between a certain time to a certain time.
“And so, I have my pay tv for that, because that’s the way I understood it from where I used to pay for pay tv. And just like the demonstrations and all the other speakers have mentioned, at a time like this, when the economy is actually challenging, I need to pay only for what I want.”
On his part, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State supported the local initiative embodied in LUFT Pay TV.
He said that while no platform should be discouraged, it should be able to offer people qualitative options at very affordable prices.
“We must be able to share profits with the people who make business profitable. I therefore salute this initiative, and I want to encourage Nigerians to patronize LUTF TV,” he said.
