MTN Nigeria, being one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, offers a wide range of data plans to its customers, including the option to share data with others. In this article, we’ve highlighted how to go about the MTN data transfer code. Let’s dive in.
The need to share data with friends, family, or colleagues has become increasingly important. This is probably because we are in a digital age. Recently, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) unified USSD codes for various activities on all networks. This article aims to provide a comprehensive guide on how to share data on MTN.
To begin, it’s important to understand MTN’s data-sharing features. MTN provides a feature called “Data Gifting” that allows you to share your data with other MTN subscribers. This feature enables you to transfer data bundles of various sizes, depending on the amount of data you have.
Before you can share data on MTN, you need to have an active data bundle. MTN offers a variety of data bundles, including daily, weekly, and monthly options. It’s crucial to choose a data bundle that suits your needs and has enough data to share. Please note that certain plans, such as daily or nightly plans, may not be eligible for data sharing.
To initiate the data transfer process on MTN, you no longer need to activate the data sharing feature as before. Simply dial *321# on your mobile phone and follow the on-screen prompts. You will be guided through the steps to send data to another MTN user.
During the process, you will be prompted to choose between gifting data or sharing from SME (Small and Medium Enterprises). Select the “Gift” option and enter the recipient’s MTN phone number.
Then, specify the amount of data you wish to send and follow the instructions provided to confirm the transfer.
It’s important to double-check the recipient’s number to ensure accuracy and avoid any data transfer errors.
