Safaricom, a popular telecommunications service provider, has refuted claims it has canceled the payment of Starlink Internet Services through its mobile money platform, M-PESA.
This comes after netizens called out the telecommunication company for canceling the satellite internet payments through the popular Mpesa service on X.
However, Safaricom responded, saying the option was still available.and urged Kenyans facing challenges to reach out to the company.
“This isn’t factual, the option is still there. Please reach out to us in case of any challenges faced.”
Starlink, which was introduced into the Kenyan market in July 2023, offers high speed and coverage to remote areas where local internet service providers may not reach. It has been widely accepted in the country, especially with the recent Starlink’s kit introduced.
