PAIX Data Centres Increases Its Capacity in Ghana to 1.2 Megawatts

PAIX Data Centres has expanded its capacity in Ghana to 1.2 MW. This development is to accommodate the increasing demand for access to digital infrastructure. 

The expansion has made the data center one of the largest in Ghana. It will also ensure internet service providers, cloud providers, and enterprises get access to vital digital infrastructure.

One key benefit of this expansion is the enhanced connectivity. The collective benefits will allow online businesses to thrive in this digital era. The expansion comes at a pivotal time as the demand for reliable and scalable data centers in Africa is expected to exceed supply by 300% over the next two years.

The current installed capacity of 250 MW will need to be significantly increased to 1,200 MW by 2030. This ensures it meets the rapidly increasing demand for data, with consumption expected to rise by 40% each year. This is according to industry estimates.

PAIX stated the data center will help Internet service providers, cloud providers, and enterprises. It will ensure they take full advantage of robust digital infrastructure and improved connectivity.

The upgraded facility features advanced cooling and waste management systems. Not forgetting the increased integration of renewable energy as a power source.
