The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has implemented a significant change for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
Unlike previous years, candidates will no longer be able to print result slips.
This update has caused some confusion among test-takers, so let’s delve into the details of JAMB result slip printing for 2024 UTME.
JAMB has not officially disclosed the specific rationale behind this change.
However, speculations suggest a shift towards a more digital and streamlined approach.
Eliminating paper result slips could potentially enhance security, reduce the risk of forgery, and expedite the results delivery process.
While physical result slips are no longer available, JAMB has provided alternative methods for accessing your scores. Here’s what you need to know:
The most convenient option is through SMS.
Simply text “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number you registered with JAMB.
You will receive a reply containing your total score and a breakdown by subject.
For a more detailed view of your results, you can access the JAMB eFacility portal at [https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login].
Here, you’ll need to log in with your registration details.
Once logged in, navigate to the “Print Result Slip” section.
However, it’s important to note that selecting this option won’t generate a printable slip.
Instead, it will display your results electronically on the screen.
Several accredited websites and mobile applications offer JAMB result checking services.
These platforms typically require a fee and may not provide the same level of detail as the official JAMB portal.
It’s crucial to use only reputable platforms to ensure the security of your information.

Here are some key points to remember:
While JAMB doesn’t offer official printing options, you can still obtain a physical copy of your results if necessary. Here are a few approaches:
1. Screenshotting your results from the JAMB eFacility portal is a quick and easy solution.
2. Printing a screenshot of your electronic results is another option, but ensure the print quality is clear and legible.
3. Third-party printing services might be available at cybercafés or printing shops. However, exercise caution and only use trusted providers to safeguard your personal information.
The elimination of JAMB result slip printing for 2024 UTME marks a shift towards a more digital future.
While this change might require some adjustment, the provided alternative methods offer convenient and secure access to your results.
Remember to utilize the official JAMB channels for the most reliable information and avoid relying on unauthorized sources.
