Binance Executive Free from Charges: The federal government has withdrawn the money laundering charges filed against an executive of Binance Holdings Limited, Tigran Gambaryan.
EFCC’s counsel, R. U. Adagba, told Justice Emeka Nwite of a Federal High Court, Abuja, of the Federal Government’s decision to withdraw the charge against the detained employee because of his deteriorating health.
She, however, informed the court that the anti-graft agency would continue the charge levelled against the company, Binance Holdings Limited.
After listening to Adagba and the defence counsel, Justice Nwite discharged Gambaryan from the charge and adjourned the trial against the cryptocurrency firm until Nov. 22 and Nov. 25 for continuation of the trial.

Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC had in April this year, arraigned Binance, a cryptocurrency firm, and Gambaryan over alleged money laundering.
Mr Gambaryan, a United States citizen, has been in detention since February following the clampdown on the cryptocurrency firm over alleged manipulation of naira.
Gambaryan’s wife had repeatedly written to the federal government to release her husband, adding that his health had been deteriorating.
