WhatsApp New Upgrade For Camera, Video calls

Whatsapp Camera Upgrade: WhatsApp features have gotten a lot more interesting after the meta-owned app rolled out a new update to manage the camera and video calls.

The new update, named camera effects, is currently available to some beta testers and will be accessible to more users in the coming days, reported WaBetaInfo.

These updates enable users to personalize their video calls, making them not only more engaging but also enjoyable and interactive.

Whatsapp Camera Upgrade Comes With Beauty Mode

WhatsApp has also introduced an interesting feature — Beauty mode. This new option is specifically designed to enhance your appearance during video calls, adding an extra layer of refinement to your video experience.

WhatsApp’s beauty mode is quite similar to the beauty filters that you can easily find on the cameras of your respective smartphone. This mode enhances your appearance during video calls by minimizing dark circles, blemishes, and other imperfections, helping you present your best self to the person you’re talking to.

Located within the privacy settings, the new option allows people to manage their camera effects. “Once enabled, it allows users to apply effects, filters, and backgrounds to both the camera and during video calls,” said WaBetaInfo.

This feature can be toggled on or off based on the user preferences, offering flexibility in how these effects are applied. If users want to maintain a more professional or standard appearance during calls, they can simply disable these effects,” it added.

How To Turn On The Beauty Mode In WhatsApp Camera Upgrade

The said mode is available for both iOS and Android users. If you wish to use it then you have to follow just three easy steps:

  • Update WhatsApp to the latest version
  • Initiate a video call
  • Click on the face-mask like icon next to the ‘low light mode’ and enable beauty mode

It should be noted that users can disable effects directly within the camera interface during video calls. However, for a more permanent solution, users can opt to disable the mentioned option in the privacy settings to hide the button entirely.

This will give them more control over the experience, making it easier for them to use the feature whenever they want to.
