WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that organizes chats, which makes it more convenient to use.

WhatsApp

Over the past few weeks, the company has tested a couple of features, including AI Integration and status update notification.

WhatsApp New Unique Feature

Recently, the company officially revealed a new feature called WhatsApp Filters. With this feature, users can find the right conversations in the right place. Additionally, important conversations can now be prioritized ahead of less important ones. This way, users can get to their important messages faster. It makes conversing easy and faster!

Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed the new feature, chat filters, on WhatsApp through his WhatsApp Channel and Facebook. In a Facebook post, he stated, “Introducing chat filters on WhatsApp to help you quickly find important messages.”

WhatsApp Chat Filters Grouped in Different Categories

According to the company, this new feature will use three different criteria to filter chats. Above the chats on the WhatsApp page, the different filters will be displayed. Users can activate any of the filters with a single click. These filters are easy to understand as their names are self-explanatory. The filters are listed below:

  • All
  • Unread
  • Groups

If you select “All,” it will reveal the default view of your messages.

However, if you select “Unread,” then all messages that have not been read will appear. This will ensure that users easily catch up with chats that they need to respond to.

The Unread filter will prioritize all unread messages, and you can attend to all of them easily.

The third filter is “Groups,” and according to WhatsApp, this is a “highly requested feature.” With this filter, users can have all groups in one place and attend to the messages easily.

Additionally, it makes it easier for users to find the groups whose content they want to attend to. Furthermore, this filter will show subgroups of communities.

Conclusion

Meta said, “Opening WhatsApp and finding the right conversation should feel quick, seamless, and simple. As people increasingly do more on WhatsApp, it’s more important than ever before to be able to get to your messages fast. That’s why today we’re launching new Chat Filters so you can do that without having to scroll through your full inbox.”

The official launch of this feature will start this week. This means that users in certain regions may already have this feature. This is because the company is rolling out the feature region by region. However, it assured all WhatsApp users that the feature would be available to them in the “coming weeks”.
