Meta AI, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has introduced a new AI feature on WhatsApp, one of its subsidiaries.

The features allow users to generate images and videos within their chats.

Meta AI Still in Testing State

When you type a text-to-image prompt in a Meta AI chat, the image will change as you enter more details. However, the feature is still in the testing phase in India where only selected users use it.

Meta had previously upgraded WhatsApp, and the creativity behind each update reveals the company’s determination to satisfy its users.

Meta Upgrades WhatsApp Text With Meta AI

This is an incredible update, as it brings your imagination to life. The AI instantly begins to generate images and videos that change with each word you type. This feature uses the latest Llama 3 large language model introduced by Meta. Additionally, the apex company says its Meta Llama 3 model can now produce “sharper and higher quality” images and is better at showing text.

In the example shared by Meta, a user types in the prompt, “Imagine a soccer game on Mars.” The generated image quickly changes from a typical soccer player to showing an entire soccer field on a Martian landscape.

How To Use the AI Feature

As users type in their WhatsApp chat, whether describing a scene, an object, or any abstract concept, the AI starts visualizing it. It brings all their ideas to life.

The more details provided, the more refined and animated the image becomes. The feature allows for a high level of customization and creativity, making each generated image unique to the user’s input. This is not like the current image generation models like OpenAI’s Dall-E 3, which takes the final prompt from the user and then creates an image according to the instructions.
