Transcorp Hotels Appoints Uzo Oshogwe MD/CEO, Replacing Dupe Olusola
Uzo Oshogwe Transcorp Hotel CEO: Transcorp Hotels Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Uzo Oshogwe as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), effective January 1, 2025.
Currently the MD/CEO of Afriland Properties Ltd, she will bring with her 30 years of experience to her new role at Transcorp Hotels.
About Uzo Oshogwe Transcorp Hotel CEO
Uzo is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the real estate industry skilled in Negotiation, Operations Management, Requirements Analysis, Banking, and Management.
She now succeeds Mrs. Dupe Olusola, who served as the MD/CEO until her recent exit. Recall Dupe Olusola was appointed as the MD/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, effective from March 25, 2020. She was then the Group Head, Marketing at United Bank for Africa Plc.

Uzo’s Career In Finance Industry
Uzo started her career in 1997 as the Programmer/Business Analyst/Project Manager at J Sainsbury Plc where she worked in the Information Systems Department. She then moved to Accenture UK as the IT Applications Manager for over 7 years.
She also served at UBA as MD, UBA Properties for 2 years and 6 months. Uzo also worked at Heirs Holdings before her current position as CEO, Afriland Properties Plc.
Uzo’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State. She is a robust business development professional with an MSc focused in Information Systems Design from the University of Westminster, London. She also has an Advanced Management Program (AMP) from the Lagos Business School and IESE Barcelona.
Uzo holds a professional certificate in Real Estate Management (Design, Finance & Leadership) from Harvard Business School. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA). She is a RICS Accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator.

The appointment comes at a time when Transcorp Hotels is looking to deepen its footprint in Nigeria’s hospitality sector. Commenting on Mrs. Oshogwe’s appointment, Mr. Emmanuel N. Nnorom, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in her ability to drive the company’s growth.
Under Mrs. Oshogwe’s leadership, the company is expected to further strengthen its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s hospitality industry. The company share price also rose 51% this year and was one of the best-performing stocks of 2023.
