United Bank for Africa (UBA) continues to prioritize a seamless and secure digital banking experience for its customers with recent upgrades in their mobile app.

The bank recently upgraded its mobile app to include additional features to help users and eliminate a persistent headache – disputed transactions.

UBA Enhances Mobile App, Introduces Transaction Dispute Feature

Enhanced Functionality: Improved Transaction Tracking and Reporting

A key feature of The UBA upgrades to their mobile app is an expansion of the transaction history window.

This means that customers can now have access to view up to six months of their banking activity directly through the app.

With this use, you can plan and make informed decisions on how you meet your financial goals in relation to your spending habits and maintaining a budget.

“By extending the transaction history window, we are empowering our customers to take greater control of their financial journeys,” said Ulukayode Olubiyi, UBA’s Head of Digital Banking. “This increased visibility allows for a clearer understanding of their finances and empowers them to make informed decisions.”

Dispute Transactions with Ease: A Dedicated Feature for Faster Resolution

One of the most important new features of the UBA-upgraded mobile app is the Transaction Dispute Menu.

Unrecognized or fraudulent transactions are a common issue for digital banking users.

The new section of the app allows customers to report any suspicious or failed transactions from the comfort of the home screen.

There is no need to visit a branch, and the request is more efficiently and promptly addressed.

“Research has shown that disputed transactions have been a major hurdle for customers, often leading them to visit a branch despite having our digital app,” explained Olubiyi. “The Transaction Dispute Menu directly addresses this concern and allows for a faster and more convenient way to report any issues.”

Security measures are further tightened within the app to secure your details and transactions.

“We are committed to providing a seamless and secure banking experience that exceeds customer expectations,” said Olubiyi. “These upgrades, alongside the extended transaction history and dispute resolution feature, demonstrate our dedication to achieving that goal.”

A Commitment to Customer Centricity: UBA’s Ongoing Digital Transformation

The upgrade of UBA’s mobile app reflects the bank’s dedication to digital innovation and focus on the customer.

UBA’s introduction of features popular with its customers and regular development of new features that increases the functionality of their app, ensures that UBA customers have the tools they need to manage their finances in the most innovative way.

The focus on digital solutions align with the evolving customer appetite for mobile and online banking services in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
