Egyptian edtech startup, Sprints is revving its engines for global expansion with the help of a fresh $3 million bridge round.
Just at the time when the company was marking its outstanding track record, this funding surge came: more than 2.5 million learning hours and over 300 graduates placed in high-paying tech jobs worldwide.
The funding round that is led by Disruptech Ventures is a validation of Sprints’ innovative approach to tech talent development.
Founded in 2020 by Ayman Bazaraa and Bassam Sharkawy, the Egyptian edtech startup, Sprints has made itself a leader in the Egyptian edtech space.
What sets them apart? They have a platform that covers everything from “end-to-end,” which addresses the tech talent gap in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
So what is it exactly that makes Sprints stand out? The company in Egypt has a three-pronged approach to enable individuals and meet the needs of the rapidly growing tech industry.
Gone are the days when all learners were lumped together into one category.
Sprints employs a rather advanced talent assessment system which picks on individual strengths and weaknesses.
This serves as the basis for personalized learning journeys, ensuring students get the most relevant and impactful education possible.
Sprints recognizes the potential of artificial intelligence to improve learning experience.
Students can use adaptive learning platforms that adjust their progress in real-time, so they are kept engaged and challenged.
This might be the most striking feature of Sprint’s program.
The provision that graduates will have employment minimizes the financial risk for students and creates a sense of trust between the company and its learners.
Graduates only pay for their education after they secure a high-paying tech job, and this repayment is done over three years.
This turns out to be beneficial to both students and companies as students are equipped with skills and also secure employment in their desired field, while tech companies benefit from a highly qualified and job-ready pool of graduates.

The $3 million bridge round will be a starting point for Sprints’ international expansion that is very ambitious.
The company in Egypt has targeted 10 new markets to reinforce its position as a global leading tech talent developer.
This strategic step does not only help Sprints by creating new sources of income, but also offers individuals worldwide with access to high-quality tech education which they can use to carve out a niche for themselves in the rapidly expanding digital world.
Armed with a crystal-clear vision of educating one billion learners within the next decade, Sprints is set to create ripples in the global tech ecosystem.
Through accessible, effective and job-oriented education, Sprints is not only shaping individual futures but bridging the critical gap between the supply and demand of tech talent.
With their innovative model and big plans for expansion, they are set to be an indomitable force in the edtech industry globally and not just in Egypt.
