Polaris Bank Emerges as Nigeria’s Leading Bank in MSME Lending
Polaris Bank is the top MSME Lending bank. The Nigeria’s leading digital retail commercial bank was declared as Nigeria’s topmost bank in lending to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The award recognized Polaris Bank’s longstanding commitments to supporting MSMEs through several direct and indirect funding channels.
Furthermore, the event was organized by Nairametrics and The Economic Forum, it took place over the weekend in Lagos.
Polaris Bank Is The top MSME Lending bank
The award ceremony, held at the upscale Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, cemented Polaris Bank’s reputation as a pacesetter in industry standards for lending and impact-driven financing to critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Additionally, the award highlights Polaris Bank’s dedication to supporting MSMEs through various direct and indirect funding initiatives.
The judges also emphasized the bank’s consistent efforts in providing sustainable finance, which has enabled Nigerian entrepreneurs to grow and expand their businesses.
Expert judges at the inaugural MSME Finance Awards 2024, organised recently said the choice of Polaris Bank as the ‘Best in MSME Lending’ (banking sector) was based on the bank’s provision of sustainable finance and funding to entrepreneurs in the MSMEs sector to grow their businesses.

Polaris Bank Commitment To MSME Drives Financial Inclusion
According to experts, MSMEs are the largest employers in the Nigerian economy, providing immense contributions to job creation and economic activities.
Also, the contribution of the MSME sector to employment had increased by 3.5 percent.
Polaris Bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Kayode Lawal, expressed gratitude and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting Nigerian MSMEs.
