Orange Appoints New CEOs to Lead Orange France and Orange MEA

Orange has announced some important changes in its leadership team. The company, Orange, has gone ahead to appoint new CEOs to lead its operations in France and in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). These changes will help Orange grow and improve in these important regions.

Starting June 1, 2025, Jérôme Hénique will become the new CEO of Orange France. Right now, Jérôme is the CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa. He knows the company very well and has done a great job growing Orange’s business in Africa and the Middle East. Jérôme will still be part of Orange’s Group Executive Committee and will report to Christel Heydemann, the CEO of the whole Orange group. He will also join the Board of Directors of Orange MEA on the same day. Jérôme takes over from Jean-François Fallacher, who is leaving Orange to become CEO of another company called Eutelsat Group.

At the same time, Yasser Shaker, who is currently the CEO of Orange Egypt, will take over as CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa starting July 1, 2025. Yasser will also join the Group Executive Committee and report to Christel Heydemann. The Board of Directors of Orange MEA has agreed to this change.

Christel Heydemann thanked Jean-François Fallacher for his hard work and dedication during his time at Orange. She especially praised his role in creating MasOrange and leading the “Lead the Future” strategy in France. Christel said she has full confidence in Jérôme Hénique to lead Orange France because of his deep knowledge of the company and his success in the MEA region. She also welcomed Yasser Shaker’s appointment, saying his experience and understanding of the Middle East and Africa will help Orange keep growing.

These changes show how Orange is focused on growing its business in France and in the Middle East and Africa. These two areas are very important for the company’s future. The MEA region has been a strong source of growth for Orange, with more customers and better financial results in recent years. Orange is working hard to improve its networks, offer new digital services, and expand financial services in these regions.

Jérôme Hénique has a long history with Orange. He started as a consultant and has held many important jobs, including Marketing Director in Spain and Consumer Market Director in France. Since 2010, he has worked mostly in Africa and the Middle East, including roles as Deputy CEO of Sonatel Group and CEO of Orange Jordan. He became CEO of Orange MEA in 2022 and has helped the company grow quickly.

Yasser Shaker also has strong experience. As CEO of Orange Egypt, he knows the region well. His leadership will be important for Orange to keep growing and competing in the Middle East and Africa.

Orange appointing new CEOs to lead its teams in France and MEA are part of Orange’s plan to keep growing and improving in these key areas. The company believes these new leaders will help Orange face future challenges and opportunities successfully.
