Aminu Bakori and Kabir Shittu established Sudo Africa to address a challenge they faced while developing a mobile wallet system.

Their attempt to issue cards in partnership with Nigerian banks proved to be extremely difficult, as the card acquisition process took weeks and the cards had limited functionality.

Nigerian banks are proficient in internal transactions but struggle with external services such as interbank transactions and international payments. In response, they founded Sudo to streamline and improve the card issuance process.

Sudo offers an open API for issuing physical and virtual cards, making it quick and easy for businesses, merchants, and individuals to provide tailored financial services for both local and international payments.

Sudo Africa has experienced rapid expansion from a FinTech startup based in Nigeria to a well-established company with global recognition.
