Just yesterday, Airtel Malawi officially introduced its 5G and Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) services during a well-attended event at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe, the capital city. The event was graced by the presence of Shadric Namalomba, the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, who attended as the guest of honour. His presence highlighted the government’s strong support for advancing technology in Malawi. During the event, Aashish Dutt, the Managing Director of Airtel Malawi, spoke about the benefits of the new services. He particularly emphasized how VoLTE improves the calling experience by offering clearer voice quality, faster call connection times, and the ability to use high-speed data even while on a voice call. This makes communication smoother and more reliable for users.
