Breaking: Cloudflare Outage Causes X to Go Offline for Thousands of Users Worldwide

Right now, a Cloudflare outage is causing X to go offline for thousands of users around the world. If you’ve been trying to check your feed on X (formerly Twitter) this morning and noticed it’s just not loading, you’re not alone. Thousands of people are hitting the same problem — with posts not showing up at all.

The trouble started around 11 am, according to Downdetector, where nearly 12,000 users reported issues with both the app and the website version of X. Instead of your usual timeline, users are seeing a “posts aren’t loading right now” message.

X hasn’t said anything official yet, but the root of the problem seems to be a Cloudflare outage. Cloudflare, the American company that handles web security and runs a Content Delivery Network (CDN), is currently dealing with issues on its global network. This Cloudflare outage is causing X to go offline, leaving users worldwide stuck without updates.

Earlier today, Cloudflare admitted they’re working on the problem and investigating what’s going wrong. They also mentioned other platforms like Downdetector had some hiccups for a short while because of it.

“Cloudflare is aware of and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers. Further details will be provided as more information becomes available,” the company said.

It wasn’t just X affected, Cloudflare also pointed out that their own dashboard and API services were down too. The team is actively working on fixing everything to get things back to normal soon.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because it’s not the first time we’ve seen a big service disruption recently. Just last month, there was a major AWS global outage that caused problems for tons of popular apps and platforms like Grammarly, Snapchat, and Reddit.

So right now, a Cloudflare outage is causing X to go offline for users worldwide, and hopefully, the fixes will roll out soon so everyone can get back to scrolling.
