Kenyan Government Websites has been Hit by Cyberattack

Several Kenyan government websites have been hit by a cyberattack that caused quite a disruption early Monday morning. The attack was coordinated and targeted multiple official pages, replacing them with disturbing neo-Nazi and white supremacist messages.

This wasn’t a small or isolated incident — several Kenyan government websites went offline, affecting key ministries like Health, Education, Labour, Environment, ICT, Tourism, Energy, Water, and Interior. Even the State House website went dark, alongside other important agencies such as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Immigration Department, Public-Private Partnerships Directorate, Government Press, the Hustler Fund portal, and the Nairobi County website.

Anyone who tried to visit these sites was greeted by pages that had been defaced with four main slogans: “Access denied by PCP,” “We will rise again,” “White power worldwide,” and “14:88 Heil Hitler.” The “14:88” is a notorious code tied to neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology.
