Flutterwave Unveils Accelerate Workshop, Designed to Train Africa’s Future Tech Talent

Flutterwave Unveils Accelerate Workshop, a new program aimed at training Africa’s future tech talent. This is a two-day online event designed to help young people in Africa learn real skills they need to succeed in the tech world.

The workshop is mainly for university students, recent graduates, and people who are just starting their careers. It focuses on four important areas where there are many job opportunities: Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, Design, Marketing, and Product Management. What makes Flutterwave’s Accelerate Workshop special is that the sessions will be taught by experienced professionals who work in the tech industry. Some of the people leading the training include Ted Oladele, who is the CEO of Mira and used to be a top design and product leader at Flutterwave; Noel Ozoemena, who manages branding and storytelling; Nujinim Egwegbete-Odukwu, who is in charge of keeping systems secure; Abisola Epoyun, who handles data privacy; and Oluwatobiloba Animashaun, a product manager at Flutterwave.

Flutterwave Unveils Accelerate Workshop

Flutterwave started this workshop because they believe Africa’s young people are its greatest strength. They want to give these young Africans the chance to learn, grow, and create new ideas that can change the continent. Flutterwave is already known for making it easier to do business with technology, and now they want to help build the next generation of tech leaders.

Yewande Akomolafe-Kalu, who leads branding and storytelling at Flutterwave, said, “We want to help young Africans unlock their full potential. The Accelerate Workshop is a place where they can get the knowledge and confidence they need to build amazing things and take part in the digital economy.”

The workshop doesn’t just teach technical skills. It also helps participants build soft skills like communication and teamwork. It gives them a clear picture of what it’s like to work in tech startups in Africa. They will learn about how users behave, how to develop products, how to protect data, and how to tell stories that make a difference. These lessons will help them right away in their jobs.

Flutterwave’s Accelerate Workshop will happen in two parts, on April 26 and May 3, 2025. Anyone interested can sign up online to join. This is part of Flutterwave’s promise to help young Africans gain skills that can open doors all over the world.

This program is a great chance for Africa’s youth to learn, grow, and lead the way in technology.
