Mondo for Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating plastic pollution, waste management, and climate change in Africa.
We engage key figures and influencers in waste management and recycling through our environmental awareness events and cleanups on beaches and streets.
Together, we work on creating solutions and alternatives to minimize and repurpose materials.
Your contribution enhances our efforts to clean up Africa and promotes greater awareness of the problems of plastic pollution and climate change in the region.
Our operations are currently established in Nigeria, Benin, and Ghana. We operate a fully functional Recycling Facility where we convert PET Bottles into Washed Flakes for export to our customers.
We have successfully recovered, processed, and organized more than 1,500 tons, which is equal to over 42 million bottles!
Our current processing capacity is 500 tons per month, and we are seeking to enhance the value of our process and expand into processing other materials.
We are dedicated to supporting local artisans by carefully selecting a range of environmentally friendly and genuine crafts that not only share a narrative but also play a part in creating a more sustainable future.
Our Mission is to fight the crisis of plastic waste and climate change in Africa, through environmental awareness events and beach/street cleanups.
Develop solutions and alternatives to reduce and reuse materials.
When selecting a new project, various factors are considered, such as the ease of area cleaning, the number of potential participants, and the available infrastructure. However, the primary consideration is the potential environmental and social impact that can be achieved.
After selecting the project, it is important to identify the underlying reasons for the problem. This involves gathering all the stakeholders, including politicians, neighbors, and cleaning companies, to gain insight into the issue.
We have identified the root of the problem, and we are working to secure funding to enable change in communities. Our efforts go beyond organizing clean-up events and raising awareness; we are also investing in the development of technologies that can effectively eliminate waste.
Our local schools join us in the clean-up events to help educate students about the waste crisis and waste management. Ultimately, we are working towards creating a better world for the future generation.
Mondo Africa provides all the necessary materials on the day of the event, including gloves, bags, rakes, and boots to address each situation. Additionally, food and drinks are given to our participants.
The Cleanup Event is underway. Once teams have been organized and areas assigned, the garbage is gathered at various locations and will be picked up by specialized trucks for proper disposal.
Mondo4africa is not about providing direct services to the public but focuses on raising awareness and collaborating on solutions with relevant organizations.
