To begin the process, you should log in to the Kenya Power Website here https://www.kplc.co.ke/ 

After logging in, you will be directed to the homepage of the website. At the top left side of your screen you will see ‘Self-service Portal’ click on ‘Apply here’ underneath it. 

You will be directed to the Self-service portal here https://selfservice.kplc.co.ke/ then click on ‘register’

After clicking on register, you will go to the registration platform, indicate if you are registering as landlord or tenant.

Next, you have to indicate your account number( if you click on the drop down box in front of it, you will see where your account number is indicated in your electricity bill).

Then, under document type you can insert one of these documents; Your Personal Identification Number(PIN), National ID, Passport or Certificate of Registration.

After that, you should insert your document number, phone number, your email address, and confirm your email address. 

When you’re done, you should click on the captcha to indicate that you are not a robot.

Then tick the box underneath the captcha to agree with the terms and conditions.

Once you are through with these processes, a verification code will be sent to your email and phone number.

Insert the code in the registration form to verify your phone number and mail.

Once you have been verified, your account is ready for any of the services listed in the sub-heading above.
