Shell LiveWIRE Tech Startup Accelerator Program 2024 open for applications

Shell Livewire Tech Startup Accelerator Program for 2024 is accepting applications.  The program will run in collaboration with Team IGNITE.

Shell LiveWIRE is the flagship initiative development program of Shell. 

The initiative strengthens local economies across the globe by facilitating entrepreneurship and developing entrepreneurs. It has created 1,384 businesses with 2,686 participants around the world.

Theme For Shell Livewire Tech Startup Accelerator Program

The theme for the Shell Livewire Tech Startup Accelerator Program for 2024 is “Purposeful Progress Through Energy That Empowers”. 

The program supports Philippine startups and entrepreneurs that are energy sector-focused. Particularly start-ups involved in access to energy, clean energy, off-grid solutions, energy distribution, and last-mile distribution.

Also, it focuses on start-ups in energy efficiency, low-carbon transport solutions, and/or transport-sharing models.

Criteria for Shell Livewire Tech Startup Accelerator Program

Participating startups and entrepreneurs must have the following:

  • A working Minimum Viable Product and demonstrate initial market traction. 
  • Filipino individuals or entities should hold the majority ownership of the business
  • There must also be at least one full-time Filipino founder
  • The business must have received not more than US$100,000 in external funding. 
  • The business must also be registered or be able to register within three months upon application and have the capability to issue an Official Receipt.

Conclusion

The program runs for three months, and the eligible start-ups will receive mentorship from the company’s practitioners and experts. The mentoring sessions will be conducted online and will cover a wide range of topics.

The Top 3 startups will receive the prospect of integrating into the Shell Value Chain. Note that the two runner-ups will receive an award of P500,000 each. Additionally, the grand winner will receive an award of P1,000,000 at the end of the culminating activity.
