Piggyvest has Fixed Withdrawal Issues with PocketApp

Piggyvest has fixed withdrawal issues with PocketApp, solving a problem that has been bothering many users. Recently, some people had trouble withdrawing money from PiggyVest to their Wema and Sterling Bank accounts. This caused delays and frustration. But now, PiggyVest has fixed PocketApp withdrawal issues, making it easier and faster for users to get their money out.

At a recent open event in Ibadan, Ibukun Akinola, the Director of Payments at PiggyVest, explained how this was done. She said that PiggyVest now connects directly to the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS) through PocketApp. This means PiggyVest no longer needs middlemen like Flutterwave or Paystack to handle withdrawals. Because of this, PiggyVest has fixed the Pocketapp withdrawal issues by controlling the entire process themselves.

Before this fix, users sometimes faced technical glitches when trying to move money from their PiggyVest accounts to their banks. Their funds could get stuck, and they had to wait hours or even days before the problem was sorted out. But with PiggyVest’s new direct link to NIBSS via PocketApp, withdrawing money has become smoother. Now, customers can withdraw directly into their PocketApp accounts and then send the money to whichever bank or financial service they want.

Ibukun also shared that PiggyVest is now fully in charge of its payment systems, which helps fix problems faster. Because PocketApp holds a mobile money license and is connected straight to NIBSS, any technical issue can be solved quickly by PiggyVest’s engineering team. This direct control means that Pocketapp withdrawal issues are fixed and will happen less often in the future.

If you want to enjoy faster withdrawals, Ibukun encourages customers to create a PocketApp account number. She calls PocketApp the “Piggy Bank’s bank” because it makes moving money easier and more reliable. Thanks to this, Piggyvest has fixed withdrawal issues with PocketApp in a way that means customers can trust their savings will be available when they need them.

PiggyVest is one of Nigeria’s top savings and investment platforms, with over 5.8 million users. In just the first half of 2025, they paid back over N2.6 trillion to people using the platform. The company shared that people save an average of N47,000 every second on PiggyVest, so fixing withdrawal problems was very important.

The OpenHouse events where these updates were shared have taken place in several Nigerian cities: Abuja, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and now Ibadan. They plan to hold the last big event in Lagos in October.

But PiggyVest isn’t just stopping at fixing withdrawals. They also announced some cool product updates and new features to help Nigerians manage their money better. For example, they improved SafeLock, a savings feature, by adding “back-end interest.” This means users can get interest at the end of their savings period, not just at the start as before. They’re also working on letting users auto-invest and extend their SafeLock plans in the future.

Another big update is PiggyVest Business, a new account for separating personal money from business money. It comes with features like business SafeLock, money markets, and access to Point of Sale machines through partners. Interested users can sign up at www.piggyvest.business.

Other new things coming soon include FlexDollar virtual accounts, which will let users fund their FlexDollar wallets easily and earn interest in dollars. PiggyVest Kids will help parents save for their children, and a Salary Manager tool is in development to help people organize their income and spending better.

The company is also looking at changing interest rates for Target Savings and plans to host a PiggyVest Walkathon, which will mix exercise and rewards.

With all these improvements, it’s clear PiggyVest has fixed Pocketapp withdrawal issues and is working hard to make saving and investing easy and worry-free for millions of Nigerians.
