MTN’s Ex MoMo CEO joins Jumo as a top Executive

MTN Ex CEO joins Jumo. Bradwin Roper, ex-CEO of Momo MTN, has made a jump to the fintech Jumo as head of payment partnerships. This arrangement will be made effective from 1 November 2024, after his tenure at Momo Mtn.

MTN revealed Brad Roper’s plan to resign and explore new opportunities last week, without divulging his new company. However, Jumo announced his employment on Monday. 

Jumo said in a statement: “In this new role, Bradwin will support the company to deliver its growth goals. He will act on this by shaping Jumo’s payment partnerships. Also, he will focus on scaling and servicing existing partnerships including with partners such as MTN.  Additionally, he will develop new opportunities for digital financial ecosystems.” 

MTN Ex-CEO Joins Jumo, Says He’s Fit For New Role

Roper will also join jumo’s executive committee and add value to the company. His profile reveals he has the ability to take on the new role and excel in it. 

He previously worked in a big-four bank, First National Bank (FNB) where he held the position as CEO of FNB Connect. Also, he previously worked with Unilever, where he was a business process engineer for Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey.

Roper said: “I believe my experience and skills will benefit Jumo and its partners significantly in this new role. The work I have done over the past few years has sparked an abiding passion to make financial services more accessible through mobile and fintech platforms.”

Jumo CEO Andrew Watkins-Ball said Roper’s background is a “great fit” for Jumo.
