AFIK and Moringa School Set Out to Offer Flexible Online Fintech Course

Moringa School and the Association of Fintechs in Kenya (AFIK) have collaborated to impact the Kenyan workforce with the skills necessary to thrive in the growing FinTech sector.

In their MoU signed, the two have set out to partner in several key areas.

One will be the establishment of a joint advisory team with representatives from both sides. Secondly, they will work together to provide industry-aligned FinTech training programs to all interested stakeholders, including fintech professionals, professionals supporting fintech, entrepreneurs, and students.  

The course will be flexible, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills and culminating in a capstone project. Students will also have the opportunity to learn from industry experts through workshops, both online and in person.

AFIK is known to drive innovation and development in the financial technology sector. Their organization serves as the collective voice of fintech companies in Kenya, fostering collaboration, promoting best practices, and advocating for a conducive regulatory environment.

Moringa School and AFIK efforts will also involve raising awareness of the importance of FinTech skills development across Kenya. Further, Moringa School will work with AFIK members to establish a pipeline of skilled FinTech graduates to address industry talent needs. This may include internship opportunities.
