Mebic Organic Wins Global Entrepreneurship Competition

Mebic Organic is the winner of the Entrepreneurship World Cup at the competition’s national finals in Lagos.

Mebic Organic is a startup that provides chemical-free foods and spices for both households and industrial purposes. It uses an eco-friendly procedure to secure maximum nourishment.

Mebic Organic Wins Entrepreneurship World Cup

The event was held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at Artisan Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos. The inaugural Entrepreneurs Lounge was also held on the same day.

The keynote speaker, Mrs. Patricia Ojora, Founder/CEO of Promoprint Ventures Ltd, motivated the guests and shared her experiences.

The event featured games, music, networking, and pitching, offering the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect with like-minded individuals. They also shared ideas and gained valuable insights.

Other finalists at the EWC Nigeria National Finals were also recognized. One of which is Vet Konect, a digital animal health company from Makurdi. Another is EarlyBean, a startup empowering kids to learn smart money skills while providing tools for parents to guide their financial journey, from Lagos. 

Not to forget another finalist, Medplan, a tech-driven healthcare enterprise out of Benin City.

All founders progressing to the next level will participate in a boot camp featuring virtual training and mentoring sessions. These sessions target each company’s current stage and growth trajectory. This is a pivotal step to qualify for the EWC Global Finals.

Entrepreneurship World Cup, An Invite To A Talented Founders’ Community 

According to the  Managing Director of GEN Nigeria Dr Olawale Anifowose, “The top 100 finalists globally will advance to pitch live for a share of USD 1 million in cash prizes at the EWC Global Finals held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in Fall 2024. 

“Global finalists also gain automatic entry into the GEN Starters Club, an invitation-only community of talented founders from around the world.”

The judges for the national competition were: Adeoye Ojuroye, Executive Director & CFO of Providus Bank, and Adetokunbo Ajetunmobi, Managing Director of Capital Investment. 

Also, Patricia Ojora, Founder/CEO of Promoprint Ventures Ltd, and Bayo Rotimi, MD/CEO of Quest Advisory Services Limited.

Entrepreneurship World Cup And Its Impact

The EWC Nigeria National Finals were arranged by GEN Nigeria in cooperation with the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University and financed by Providus Bank.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup was launched in 2019 and has attracted 430,000 registrations from 200 countries. It has also connected founders with over USD 4 million in cash prizes and another USD 266 million worth of free support and services. 

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is hosted globally by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and Monsha’at.
