The JAMB UTME exams are starting today, April 19th, and will continue until April 29th, 2024.
For many Nigerian students, these exams are a significant milestone on their path to higher education.
JAMB has provided essential details to help students prepare for the exams and have a successful experience.
JAMB has once again stated its uncompromising stance against cheating in exams.
This time around, they’ve introduced stronger security measures to discourage any cheating attempts.
They are specifically focusing on the following points:
Students are not allowed to bring any electronic gadgets, such as mobile phones (even if they are turned off), calculators, tablets, or any device that can transmit information, into the examination hall.
Watches with additional features other than telling time are also prohibited.
Only blue or black pens (as instructed by the exam venue) are allowed.
Spy glasses or magnifying glasses are not permitted unless there is a valid medical reason.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is enhancing the training of exam invigilators to ensure they can effectively spot and prevent cheating.
Students should make sure they understand JAMB’s examination rules to prevent any issues during the test.
JAMB has a strict policy on punctuality. Candidates who are 30 minutes late will not be allowed inside the exam room.
They will be considered absent and won’t be able to take the test.
To avoid this stressful scenario, students should plan their arrival carefully, considering possible traffic and unexpected events.
JAMB advises students to thoroughly check their exam schedules for their specific exam date, time, and location.
To access their schedules, students should log into their JAMB portal with their registration information.
The schedule will also show the designated CBT center for the student.

By following these guidelines and staying up-to-date, students taking the JAMB UTME exams from April 19th to 29th can feel more confident and increase their chances of success.
Remember, this is a great opportunity, and with the right preparation and following the JAMB rules, students can set themselves up for a successful future.
