Termii is a cross-channel messaging and customer engagement platform. It provides a mobile virtual solution through short message service (SMS), email, and voice text.
It offers businesses to send personalized messages and track engagement, and the results of their campaigns. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Our History
Following a rebrand and an official launch in October 2017, Termii now helps businesses retain their existing customers by effectively segmenting them based on an individual’s unique needs while also driving personalised marketing messages that suit every client’s peculiarity.
At the moment, Termii is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria but also serves customers in Morocco, Ghana, and Benin Republic.
Termii has raised $30,000 seed fund from Future Hub, a China-Africa early-stage startup investment and incubation plan backed by Transsion.
This makes Termii the first startup funded by Future Hub backed by Transsion, established in September to raise equity-based investments of up to $300,000 for early-stage African startups.
Termii is solving customer retention challenges for businesses through an API-based communication infrastructure which drives a repeated interaction between customers and brands, while also providing multi-channel real-time messaging. And the platform uses a per-billing wallet system.

Termii runs a B2B2C model and leverages a virtual wallet system that is tied to a bank account. This makes it easy for its customers to make payments to the platform using mobile money, bank transfer, and credit cards.
The startup charges its customers’ wallets on a per-message basis, as well as on every successful customer verification made towards customers’ contacts.
It runs a developer-first approach while also providing dashboard tools for sales and marketing teams within companies who decide to run non-API-based engagement campaigns.
