About Us

Afrilearn is an educational technology company focused on providing interactive learning resources for primary and secondary school students.

The company offers a range of educational services including curriculum-based class notes, animated video lessons, and exam practice tools, all designed to facilitate self-paced learning outside of the traditional classroom environment.

It is an inspired education technology enterprise integrating genius teachers, animators, and developers to provide a free, world-class education for Africans, anywhere

Afrilearn primarily serves the educational sector, catering to students, parents, teachers, and schools with its comprehensive learning platform. It was founded in 2019 and is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

History

Founded in 2019 by Isaac Oladipupo and Gabriel Olatunji-Legend, Afrilearn is the best-loved education app in Africa and in 2020 became the top innovation for education on the continent. Afrilearn has been awarded Digital Innovation of the Year, by the US Chamber of Commerce.

Accessing quality education used to be expensive and hard; we believe it should be free and fun. We use bite-sized lessons that feel like playing a game to keep our learners motivated for over 300 million young Africans who are out of school.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and school closure across Nigeria, on April 5, 2020, Afrilearn launched its ClassNotes.ng prototype. This disruptive e-learning platform provides complete primary and secondary educa/tion content online.

The platform has since reached 686,032 learners, with thousands of users achieving improved learning outcomes, and was listed by MyJobMag as the #1 basic education platform in Nigera. ClassNotes has received over 10.5 million page views to date.
