The Tech Giant Avanti launches OneWeb satellite services in South Africa

Finally, OneWeb satellite services are more accessible in South Africa! Avanti Communications, the global multi-orbit satellite technology provider, has announced the launch of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity services in South Africa.

This is an incredible technological advancement for the country, as it will improve its connection services.

Avanti and Q-KON To Jointly Provide OneWeb Satellite Services in South Africa

Avanti collaborated with Q-KON, a satellite engineering enterprise for southern Africa, to provide seamless LEO connectivity from Eutelsat OneWeb.

The partnership will enhance business operations nationwide in a unique and challenging connectivity environment.

OneWeb Satellite Services in South Africa To Provide High-Speed Services 

Avanti and Q-KON are set to meet the region’s rising need for LEO connectivity.

This deal will bolster Avanti’s multi-orbit solution. Consequently, enabling the company to provide a blend of LEO and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) services.

Additionally, Avanti is positioned to identify and deliver the best and most effective solutions for enterprise customers needing more choice, flexibility and resilience.

The LEO satellite services will allow access to high-speed, low-latency satellite broadband services, capable of connecting even the most remote communities across SA.

Q-KON is a tier one provider, linking off-grid locations to core networks using wireless and satellite technologies.

Its integration with Avanti’s multi-orbit solution will enable Avanti to offer a combination of LEO and geostationary services, effective immediately.

According to Avanti, the partnership is a strategic move to give its clients the services they desire. 

Avanti and Q-TON Speaks On The OneWeb Satellite Services Agreement 

Kyle Whitehill, CEO of Avanti Communications, stated: “We are delighted to be partnering with Q-KON. Note that this partnership will provide LEO services to our customers across South Africa.
