Display: Galaxy A14 has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080) PLS LCD. It is 20: 9 and 60Hz (the 5G model is 90Hz). The screen is sharp and bright enough to use on a daily basis.
Camera: There is a triple-camera on the backside. It has a main sensor of 50 MP (wide, f/1.8) with PDAF autofocus and is supported by 5 MP ultra-wide sensor (114deg field, f/2.2) and 2 MP macro lens (f/2.4). In the case of selfies, it has one front camera with 13 MP (f/2.0).
The cameras are capable of recording 1080p video both at the rear and the front. This arrangement is small though it addresses simple photo requirements and panoramic shots.
Performance: A14 has either one of two chipsets depending on the variant. The 4G (LTE) variant is based on either Samsung Exynos 850 or MediaTek Helio G80 with Mali-G52 MC2. The 5G version uses either MediaTek Dimensity 700 (7nm) or Exynos 1330, albeit in a more powerful setup. RAM is commonly 4GB or 6GB and internal storage is 64GB or 128GB (expandable by microSD).
Battery: It has a 5000 mAh battery, which is not that small in its category. The phone is compatible with fast charging of 15W. The A14 is capable of lasting a full day or longer on a charge in actual usage, as it has a large battery, and with its powerful processor.
Storage: It comes with 64GB of storage and 4GB RAM, or 128GB with a maximum of 6GB RAM. Storage can be increased to 1TB using a special microSDXC slot. This can be used to store photographs, videos and applications.
Software: The A14 was launched with Android 13 based on the Samsung One UI 5 (Core) interface. It features the well known Samsung software experience that is tailored to the mid-end devices.
Connectivity The A14 is dual SIM supported and has the latest radios. The 4G and the 5G models themselves are compatible with LTE and 5G NR networks respectively. It features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2 (or 5.1 on certain 4G models) and NFC, GPS, and a headphone jack of 3.5mm.
It has a security-related fingerprint sensor on the side as well. It is worth noting that the A14 base only supports 5G networks; the 4G LTE is only available on the base of A14 (which is commonly referred to as the 4G model).
Sound: The phone has one speaker (with reasonable loudness and bass), and the headphone jack is still present in order to use wired sound. There are no special sound features that Samsung emphasizes on this model.
In a word, the Galaxy A14 is a reliable entry-level phone: a huge screen, huge battery, not bad cameras, and either 4G or 5G connectivity based on the version.

The Galaxy A14 supports 5G and 4G models. The A14 4G basic model is the only model that supports only LTE networks with an Exynos 850 or Helio G80 chipset. A14 5G model has 5G NR and either Dimensity 700 or Exynos 1330. In Nigeria the 4G version was mostly available early.
The buyers should ensure that it is the correct model: A14 5G is the model that is compatible with 5G networks; the model that is simply A14 supports only 4G/LTE.
At Jumia Nigeria, Samsung Galaxy A14 comes in various options. Today, a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (4G) model will cost about N319,999. Its smaller model that has a capacity of 4GB/128GB costs approximately N259,999.

Used imports of the A14 (often marked “UK used” or “direct import”) sell significantly cheaper. On Jiji, we found examples: a lightly used 6GB/128GB A14 at around ₦130,000, and one “UK used” at ₦120,000.
These UK-used units are typically clean, functional phones. In general, UK-imported Samsung A14 phones in Nigeria go for roughly ₦120k–₦140k depending on condition and RAM size. This is well below the new price, making used units attractive if you need a bargain.
Slot Nigeria (one of the large electronic stores) was also selling Galaxy A14 at reasonable launch prices. The 4GB+64GB (4G) A14 was retailing at N135,900, and the 4GB+128GB was at N146,900 as announced by Slot.
Slot Nigeria (a major electronics retailer) offered the Galaxy A14 at competitive launch prices. According to Slot’s announcement, the 4GB+64GB (4G) A14 was listed at ₦135,900, and the 4GB+128GB model at ₦146,900. These were promotional prices at release.
Slot’s official online store may now show sold-out or higher prices (the A14 has been succeeded by newer models). However, the historical price point was as above based on Slot’s own listing and social media announcement.
(Note: The above Slot prices come from Slot’s 2023 announcement. The actual current Slot website listing might have changed or no longer have the A14, as it is an older model.)

A rough Jiji price range is ₦120,000–₦160,000 for a complete Samsung Galaxy A14 (all configurations), depending on color and condition. These are below the official new price due to the second-hand nature or year-old status of the phone.
Galaxy A14 is highly distributed by physical stores and online vendors in Nigeria. Authorized dealers include Samsung Experience Stores, Slot, 3C Hub, Finet, and similar electronics chains.
On the web, you can find it on marketplaces like Jumia and Konga. Second-hand or imported units show up on classified sites like Jiji.ng and in physical phone markets.
Always ensure the seller is reputable; buying from official stores or recognized online sellers (Jumia’s official Samsung store, for example) is recommended.
