Liquid and Eutelsat to Introduce Low Earth Orbit Satellite Services Across Africa

Liquid Intelligent Technologies has revealed a distribution partner agreement (DPA) with Eutelsat Group. The partnership will see enterprise-grade Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services in Africa.

Note that Eutelsat Group is the world’s first satellite operator with an integrated GEO-LEO infrastructure.

LEO Satellite Services in Africa To Enhance Satellite Technology 

This new development comes just a month after Seacom launched the LEO satellite service in South Africa. While utilizing Eutelsat OneWeb to provide regional services. Also, satellite services have recently gained traction, with many technology companies entering the sector. An example of this is the Tech Giant Avanti.

The agreements come as satellites are poised to play an increasingly vital role in Africa’s future connectivity architecture.

According to Liquid, this partnership is a game-changer for a continent where satellite technology is relatively new and limited in its reach.

For Liquid Dataport’s customers, it means a significant boost in performance for applications like cloud computing. The boost can also be seen in video conferencing, and real-time applications, among others.
