Juridoc, a Tunisian Legal-tech Startup, has Successfully Completed a Funding Round

Tunisian legal-tech startup Juridoc has completed a funding round worth an undisclosed sum in order to further its mission of revolutionising legal services in Africa and the Middle East. Juridoc, which was founded in 2021, has quickly proven itself as a leader in digitalising legal resources to make them accessible and efficient for lawyers, firms, businesses, and institutions.

Juridoc makes it easier to get the information you need on the spot, because its platform houses a big database containing legislation, case law, doctrine, and legal monitoring. Its intelligent search engine, powered by generative AI, provides for fast and reliable content retrieval, thus making this tech simple to use and useful for reducing workload and increasing productivity in the legal industry.

If all goes well Juridoc already has operations in Tunisia and Senegal where it hold more than 252, 000 documents and he has assisted 325, 000 consumers with successful legal searches. With more than 4, 000 paying users, its global network of lawyers and legal experts makes it an ideal place to exploit new markets. To fund those future expansions, the Tunisian legal-tech startup announced a funding round with investors 216 Capital Ventures and Go Big Partners.

Juridoc completes a funding round

The co-founder and CEO of Juridoc, Kais Assali, said he is “impressed” by the success of the funding round and that “This is an excellent opportunity to deepen our expertise and make the solution accessible to a very large number of new users, ” as well as adding that Juridoc hopes the round will help the company at large accelerate its growth.

The additional funds will go into several key areas: First, the startup plans to invest in improvements to its technical infrastructure to make the AI-powered search engine even more effective, it said. Second, Juridoc plans to expand its database of legal content which is tailored to the specific needs of the new markets. Third, it plans to extend the commercial and marketing activity of the company to boost adoption of the platform in these markets.

The investment is in line with 216 Capital Ventures’ vision – a support venture for high potential startup bringing forward innovation in strategic sectors. “This investment supports our vision to partner high-potential startups that drive transformative changes for strategic sectors through digital innovation and we are excited to bring our expertise to help expand Juridoc and contribute to modernizing access to legal information in high demand markets, ” said Dhekra Khelifi, partner at 216 Capital Ventures.

Juridoc’s new funding round is an important step towards achieving the vision of turning the way legal information is accessed and used into something that can be useful and relevant, when combined with the latest in technology such as generative AI, and tapping into new markets in Africa and the Middle East which in turn will create long-lasting changes in the legal industry.
