Although Glovo has not yet enforced the EV service ecosystem, Siltech views this initiative as a favorable agreement. As petrol prices continue to rise, businesses across Nigeria are exploring more cost-effective alternatives to provide effective services.

Glovo’s move to partner with Siltech reflects a growing trend toward embracing EVs to combat the economic impact of high fuel costs.

These swap stations significantly reduce battery recharge time from hours to mere minutes. Glovo riders will use Siltech Ginsu bikes, which feature rapid battery-swapping capabilities, allowing them to exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one within minutes, thus enhancing operational efficiency.

Siltech’s recent transition from solely manufacturing EVs to offering a complete EV service ecosystem has positioned the company as a prominent player in the industry. The company already serves Tesla owners and a growing number of EV users who utilize the ecosystem for charging and other EV-related services.

Glovo Siltech Partnership, A Cost-Effective Decision

The partnership between Glovo and Siltech represents a significant step towards sustainability and cost-efficiency in the food delivery industry. By leveraging electric vehicles and innovative technologies, businesses can reduce their carbon footprint while simultaneously cutting operational costs.

Finally, this collaboration could pave the way for other delivery companies and businesses to embrace environmentally friendly transportation solutions, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for Lagos and potentially other parts of Nigeria.
