About ThriveAgric

ThriveAgric is a fast-growing technology-driven agricultural company, passionate about ensuring food security. The company does this by linking smallholder farmers to capital, data-driven best practices, and access to local and global markets for their commodities.

ThriveAgric was founded in 2017 and began full operations in 2018.

Our History

Thrive Agric is a relatively young company, but one that has grown rapidly. Founded by Uka Eje (CEO) and Ayodeji Arikawe (CTO), the company emerged from a desire to address the numerous challenges faced by smallholder farmers in Africa.

These challenges include limited access to finance, lack of knowledge about best practices, and difficulty accessing markets for their produce.

Recognizing that solving just one of these issues wouldn’t be enough, Thrive Agric built a comprehensive “Agricultural Operating System” (AOS) to tackle them all. This platform includes various apps that provide farmers with financing,  data-driven insights on best practices, and connections to local and global markets.

In just a short period, Thrive Agric has amassed an impressive track record. They have established a network of over 500,000 farmers across 22 Nigerian states, with a significant portion being women (40%) and young people (around a third).

They have also facilitated over $150 million in financing, supporting the production of 200,000 tons of grain and the raising of 4 million poultry birds.  Thrive Agric’s impact is evident: farmers using their platform have recorded harvests that are three times the national average.

Buoyed by this success, Thrive Agric has set ambitious goals for the future. They plan to expand to new countries and grow their network to a staggering 10 million farmers by 2027, while also significantly increasing their field agent workforce.

Our Vision

To build an Africa that feeds itself and the world.

With our available resources, Africa can supply enough food to ensure no one ever goes to sleep hungry.

We believe that smallholder farmers are the key to unlocking our continent’s food production potential. That’s why we empower them, leveraging our technology to access finance and improve productivity & sales to promote food security.
