A Legacy of Nurturing Kenyan ICT Talent

Huawei, a global leader in providing ICT infrastructure and smart devices, has been active in the technological empowerment of Kenyan youth.

The Seeds for the Future program is one of their commitments that has spanned nine years.

The program has, in past editions, empowered more than 240 students in Kenya through virtual training sessions.

It has also presented a unique chance for 47 top performers to travel to China and undergo a two-week boot camp at Huawei’s headquarters.

The immersive experience allowed them to understand Chinese culture better while acquiring precious information about the latest technological advancements.

2024 Marks the Return of In-person Format of Learning

This year’s edition of the Seeds for the Future program marks a significant shift.

After two years of virtual training due to the global pandemic, the program is excited to communicate a return to in-person format.

If you are a talented Kenyan university student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or you are among the top 30% of your faculty), this program is for you.

Demonstrably strong interest in ICT, passion for telecommunications and emerging tech trends, and willingness to embrace cultural exchange are all essential qualities of a successful applicant.

Being multilingual is also considered an added advantage.
